Raised in the Coos Bay Area, Debra is very involved in the community. She is an active member of her Rotary club and served as it's first woman president in the year it celebrated it's 80th year. She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce's Independent Business Owner's core team, helping to put on the weekly meetings that highlight programs that pertain to business issues. She was named the Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the year for 2005. She has been involved in the local schools, serving on North Bend High School's site council, the ESD's School to Work committee and a regional Gender Equity Task force.
Her past experience includes 15 years as a professional Girl Scout executive. As the director of membership and adult development in a seven county area in Oregon she networked with United Ways, School Districts and other community organizations to ensure availability of the Girl Scout program to all girls. She owned her own insurance company for a number of years before joining the CENTURY 21 Best Realty team. She and her husband Sam enjoy racing their sailboats and traveling. They have 3 grown daughters, 2 grandchildren and family is very important. They have vineyards in the Willamette Valley and are learning about wine making. This year Debra is planning on getting her pilot's license.
